Interim positions
Interim positions at senior management levels
We offer a range of services delivered on either a ‘project by project’ or retained basis, working on either a specific project or assisting the senior leadership team to improve in a number of areas over a period of time. We have worked with organisations facing challenging circumstances and have successfully delivered on the following projects:
- Establishing a new 6th form, with 120 students in year 1. This included establishing clear curriculum pathways for students at all levels across a range of vocational and academic subjects, recruiting staff and developing resources (schemes of work, lesson plans and tutor support programmes).
- Providing support for under-performing departments which included developing schemes of work, lesson plans, using assessment data to target specific student cohorts for intervention programmes and establishing banks of Assessment for Learning (AfL) strategies with staff.
- Working with centres in ‘National Challenge’ to raise student performance and improve results, with a focus on English and Maths.
- Using ICT to track student performance for portfolio-based qualifications, enabling effective student intervention programmes to take place to ensure that results increase.
- Extending ICT systems to include parental access for reports, assessment and student achievement.
- Working with third party software design suppliers to develop packages aimed at supporting staff with lesson planning, setting cover work and tracking student achievement of course criteria.
- Management of specific projects within the wider education community to promote community cohesion. Examples include: establishing an adult education curriculum at a specialist college to meet community cohesion targets, developing an ‘off site’ hair and beauty training salon for student and adult learners in the local community.
